General Policies
These general member policies are created and maintained by the Board of Management. The Chapter Core Committee is responsible for ensuring these policies are followed consistently across all COTE chapters.
- COTE (Chamber of Trade and Enterprise) is a professional business networking forum created to promote structured networking and referral opportunities among members.
- COTE is designed as a collaborative platform that encourages business referrals, partnerships, and growth opportunities among its members across various industries.
- COTE aims to strengthen business connections within a professional community of members grouped under each chapter.
- COTE operates strictly as a referral networking facilitator and is not responsible for any business transactions or financial agreements between members.
- Any disputes arising between members regarding their participation in COTE must be resolved privately between the involved parties in accordance with Indian law. COTE will not be held liable for such disputes.
Disciplinary Policies
1. Visiting Cross Chapters
- Members visiting other COTE chapters must clearly state that they represent a different chapter.
- Visiting members must respect the business interests of existing members.
- Chapters should prioritize referrals within their own members.
- Prior permission from the Chapter CEO is required before visiting another chapter.
2. Absences and Late Attendance
Regular attendance is essential for business growth. Members who are consistently late or absent may receive warnings from the Core Committee. Continued non-attendance may result in reopening of their business category.
Termination Policy
- Members who violate COTE rules, disrupt chapter unity, or behave unprofessionally may be removed by the Core Committee in consultation with the Chapter CEO.
- Absences beyond the permitted limit may lead to termination and reopening of the category for new members.
- A terminated member must wait at least six months before reapplying for membership.
